Rebecca strives to be open and honest with clients. She believes that only through honest communication can a client truly be served. If your question is outside her practice area, she will tell you. She will be honest with you about potential challenges with your case. She will be honest with you about potential risks. She will tell you if she does not believe you are eligible for the benefit you seek and she will tell you why. She will be clear and straightforward about what you should expect moving forward.
Teamwork
Rebecca views the lawyer-client relationship as a team working together toward common goals. Therefore, she has high expectations for her clients, as she would hope they also have for her. Different clients may have multiple goals in an immigration case - for example, speed or keeping legal costs low, or decreasing risk or increasing probability of approval. Rebecca will work with you to identify not only your immigration goals, but also secondary goals related to representation.
Understanding
Rebecca understands that everyone has a past. Everyone also has a future. Rebecca views her job not as one of judging someone for something they have done in the past, but rather assisting them build a better future by helping them enjoy privileges the law affords them.
But understanding also means making sure that clients understand the process they are in and where it fits in the grand scheme of immigration law in the U.S. This is arguably Rebecca's favorite part of her job - making sure her clients understand their own legal situation.
